With the deadline for the launch of my first Siemens PLC course only five weeks away, I've begun to focus my time heavily to completing my lesson plans so I'll be ready to begin filming, editing, and uploading all the lessons.
One thing that may surprise you is that all the lessons can be filmed sequentially. While most of the programming lessons are, since they build on one another, some lessons like the first couple which teach the student how to navigate the course need to be filmed after the course has been assembled and uploaded for obvious reasons.
But sometimes it's because you want to work on a lesson because the material is fresh in your mind, which is the situation I'm in today.
I recently had the Siemens Distributed IO expert on my podcast to discuss their products, and I knew as I was watching it a second time to edit it that it would be a great time to also build my own presentation for my lesson on Distributed IO from Siemens.
Next, I'll probably return to another recent podcast where the Siemens expert presented the S7-1500, and an older podcast about the S7-1200, to get those two presentations done as well.
From there it's back to the books to finish up my lessons on the design and internal workings of the S7 line before I head into the studio to film the physical tour of the samples I have.
That said, I hope you are all enjoying your transition to fall and the cooler weather, and want to thank you all again for your support! Later in the week I'll tell you a little about the first two episodes of The Automation Show I have planned for December which I think you all will really like!
Have a great week,
Shawn
