Good morning all,
Just a quick post to share what I've been working on.
Aside from my Siemens course, I've worked a lot on The Automation Podcast this week meeting with vendors like the folks from Modicon in hopes of bringing you wider and more varied content.
I also filmed the bumpers for and edited three new episodes, the first of which was going to release this week but after all the news about Europe I decided to postpone the releases until next week so it wouldn't get lost in everything that is going on.
So here's the new release schedule for the coming weeks:
I also will be filming new episodes in March with the great sensor company Banner, as well as with the folks from Modicon, and then it's back to looking for new vendors to cover.
I have had pre-show meetings with HMS, Siemens, Protec, TATsoft and some others, but they have not picked a date to record a show yet.
On a side topic, MOXA did reach out and is sponsoring a first look at their new NAT device, which has arrived and I took a break from filming my Siemens course to do the unboxing videos for it.
Based on what MOXA said, I expect to have this First Look video out in Early March.
Beyond that, since so much of my focus is on completing the Siemens course I committed to creating, I'm going to start blogging about the S7 PLCs on the Blog as well.
While it's easy to have a mixture of guests on the Podcast, I find it hard myself to focus on two different topics at a time, especially since the Siemens stuff is so new to me (where after 31 years I could do the A-B stuff in my sleep!)
Well that's it for now - I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Shawn Tierney

The rest of the story:
When I originally launched Automation.Locals.com, I had hoped that it was going to grow into a new platform that would make it a perfect place to grow a new community. But after trading several long emails with their staff over the last several months, I’ve come to the conclusion that for my community to grow it’s going to be necessary to migrate to another platform.
That’s not to say I’m...
