Hey everyone,
I'm getting ready to jump on a plane to visit family out of state for the week and wanted to share a little bit of what I've been working on in the studio.
In preparation for filming updates to my courses, I began creating a new trainer / rig for the workbench into which I can slide in any of the panels from the demo wall.
The old version I used for my Logix Live course was square, and with the cameras all being widescreen didn't really work out as well as I thought. I'm actually going to mount that previous trainer to the wall in Studio B since it's still useful.
I've also been working on mounting all the samples to new 1' x 2' boards which then hand on the Wall Controll panels you can see in the background. That work continues and I hope to have them all out of boxes and on the wall in early July.
As for content on www.TheAutomationBlog.com this coming week while I'm on Vaca, we have two new articles coming out on the PV800 and Micro800 by Brandon, as well as my interview with an EtherCAT expert which does a great job of giving viewers a good introduction to the technology.
But for now I have to jump on a plane so I'll wish you all a great week and hope to have more updates when I return on July 5th :-D
Thanks as always,
Shawn Tierney
